Hi! My name is Anna Amalie Bøgelund Pihl, though I usually just shorten it to Amalie Pihl and often just go by Amy.
I'm a 26 year old Software Engineer from the small town of Nakskov, Denmark. My hobbies tend to fluctuate a lot over time, but at the moment I'm really into movies, good food (and wine), and just kinda exploring the world. I'm also really into programming and used to spend a lot of time playing video games, though I've increasingly been doing the latter less and less. I also used to be a scout as a child in Denmark!
I would describe myself as very extroverted, always enjoying chatting with others and spending time together. I've also been described as "full of joy and whimsy", as a "very bubbly person", and "deeply silly". One coworker once described me as their "little sun" because I'm always shining. I'd also say I'm very straight-forward, a "say what I mean and mean what I say" kind of person.
As should be evident by this page, my preferred programming languages do not include webdev languages. Instead, my most comfortable languages are Java (From having worked in it for 3-ish years), Python (usually my prototyping/faffing about language), and Haskell (the language I try to do Advent of Code in every year). I've also been teaching myself Swift recently as an exercise, though I wouldn't quite describe myself as comfortable in it yet.
